SPRINGDALE, AR, January 26, 2022 – NowDiagnostics Inc., announced today the appointment of Jim Haworth as full-time Executive Chairman of the Board of Directors (BOD). Jim is a proven executive with a 37-year background as Chairman, Board Member, and CEO in the direction, leadership and implementation of business operations, merchandising and marketing solutions, including: strategic planning, financial structuring, IT utilization and tactical marketing in competitive and rapidly changing global industries.
As Executive Chairman, Jim will work closely with the BOD to develop NOWDiagnostics’ strategic plan, formulate the areas of focus and investment, support timely execution of operational deliverables, facilitate involvement and interaction with the BOD, and support the existing leadership to execute the mission of NOWDiagnostics – to change healthcare! Jim will also be working to develop new business models and strategic partnerships with those in the industry to advance NOWDiagnostics’ mission.
Jim is a long-standing resident and contributory citizen of NW Arkansas. Upon graduation from Central Missouri State University in 1984, he joined Walmart as a Store Manager. Over the next twenty years, Jim went on to hold positions as a Buyer and Operations Regional Vice President and ultimately served as Walmart’s Executive Vice President and Chief Operating Officer until his retirement from the company in 2004.
From there, Jim went on to fill other executive and board roles at Chai Tai Enterprises Intl., LTD, CP Lotus based in Shanghai, China (President and CEO; 2005-2010), Sears Holding Corporation headquartered in Chicago, IL (EVP and President of Retail Services; 2010-2011), Professional Bull Riders based in Pueblo, CO (Chairman and CEO; 2011-2016), Conn’s HomePlus based in Houston, TX (Board of Directors; 2016-Present), and most recently Outdoor Cap Company headquartered in Bentonville, AR (President and CEO; 2016-2021).
In addition to all the above, Jim also has a cutting horse and angus cattle ranch that he shares with his wife Kathy in Oklahoma. They have 3 children and 8 grandchildren.
